Higashiyama Wedding Photos in Kimono (Yasaka Pagoda, Ninenzaka)

Bridal Salon Pure — Kyoto Wedding Photos (English) › Higashiyama

Higashiyama (around Ninenzaka and Nene-no-michi) is one of the photo locations for our location plans. Stone-paved slopes lined with wooden townhouses, lanes with a view of Yasaka Pagoda — this is the Kyoto many people dream of.

Our salon at The Westin Miyako Kyoto is also in Higashiyama Ward.

What you can shoot at Higashiyama

  • Yasaka Pagoda – the five-story pagoda rising above old rooftops. A shot with the pagoda at the end of the lane says “Kyoto” at a glance.
  • Ninenzaka and stone-paved streets – walk side by side or face each other on the old slope.
  • Nene-no-michi – a classic portrait in front of the gate with “Nene-no-michi” lanterns.
  • Kukurizaru charms at Yasaka Koshindo – colorful charms make a white shiromuku look even brighter.
