Bridal Salon Pure — Kyoto Wedding Photos (English) › Gion Shirakawa

Gion Shirakawa is one of the photo locations for our location plans. A stone-paved canal path, a vermilion fence, a narrow stone footbridge and weeping willows — classic Gion scenery for photos in shiromuku or iro-uchikake.

What you can shoot at Gion Shirakawa

  • Cherry blossoms along the canal – in spring the canal is lined with blossoms, and a white kimono glows against them.
  • Around Tatsumi Daimyojin – vermilion fences and lanterns: the most iconic corner of Gion Shirakawa.
